A Thanksgiving Full Of Thanks

No matter how this year has gone, despite the ups and downs, there is still so much to be thankful for. One of my best friends returned from her wedding weekend only to go immediately to defend her home from the wrath of Hurricane Sandy. She’s still without power. My buddy is already on his second deployment in two years. In his latest email to me I just received, he said, “I dropped a bomb yesterday that saved a bunch of dudes. Pretty good stuff.” I would venture to say that’s more than pretty good. Friends have lost family and loved ones who were far too young. The older I get, the more and more I understand how important it is to give thanks and focus on all the wonderful things I have in my life. I truly hope everyone has a truly great Thanksgiving full of love and gratitude!


PS I am also thankful that Walmart is open all day on Thanksgiving when at noon you realize that you can’t find your turkey baster.
