The 80s were the pinnacle of ski fashion. While I feared that long gone were the days of highlighter yellow jackets and one-piece snow suits, I fear no more. While the 90s and 00s were filled with completely
uninspired boring ski clothes–neutral colors, no patterns or imagination–I recently went to Park City and was excited to see that people were finally pushing the envelope again on the slopes. Brightly colored ski pants, goofy thermals, unexpected pairings, fun patterns.
While I still wish ski fashions looked exactly like this, I’m happy to report that there’s an abundance of vibrant, fashion forward choices out there once again. Whether you’re hitting the back bowls or enjoying a beer (or six) at your favorite slopeside après-ski bar, chose a ski or snowboard outfit that’s fun, shows your personality, and makes you stand out in the crowd.
I can’t believe this was sold to someone other than me.
